The Hill - The United States has spent more than $3 billion on the military campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Pentagon said in an update Monday.
The U.S. has spent $3.21 billion as of July 15, spokesman Bill Urban said. Since the campaign against ISIS began on Aug. 6, the military operations have cost an average of $9.4 million per day.
ADVERTISEMENT A bulk of the money, 53 percent, has been spent on airstrikes, according to the Defense Department. Just under a quarter of the money has been spent on weapons, with the rest spent on missions involving military carriers and other operations

ISIS: The best enemy money can buy!
Where is our brain dead press? The fact that the mainstream media can go on with this ISIS clownery is proof that they are all in the tank - or just braindead or brainwashed. Has there ever been a more transparently "overt" covert op?
Those of us who dig and actually read carefully remember reports in the foreign press from three years ago that the US, Saudis and Qataris were all involved in running arms to these cartoon characters - that was indeed part of the entire Benghazi coverup and explains the ridiculous u-tube story peddled by the administration. Nothing to see here, just move along now.
Rand Paul even asked Queen Hillary herself about moving arms thru Libya thru Turkey to Syria. And that was before ISIS made headlines! The press? Couldn't care less!
When Obama didn't (or wouldn't) launch an attack on Syria, the team went ahead with their backup plan - continuing to arm and train the jihadis. The Saudis were (and probably still are) actively funding them!
Now we have this pathetic attempt to counter ISIS - which often results in (accidentally, of course!) dropping weapons for the clowns to take and strut around with - all towards the real goal of unseating Assad - which must be done before the coming attack on Iran. The President is still searching somewhere for his "ahem" strategy!
While all this multiple-ring media fake-wrestling political circus about the Iran nuke deal and the fear-porn promised "coming to a theatre near you terror" of ISIS beheading attacks continues...the real noose is tightening around the neck of Iran - and the trigger for WWIII.
I read this piece of writing completely about the difference of most up-to-date
and earlier technologies, it's remarkable article.
