Campaign financing is only one feature of a larger system of judicial supremacy. As predicted by Jefferson, the Court accrues power by annexing Congressional and Executive powers. Even after causing a civil war, the Court did not back down until FDR's attack in 1937. The Nixon Court restored Court totalitarian power. How it works is that people are too busy to bother with politics so they leave oversight to the Court. The Court then ended elections, given the electorate is unecessary. To end corruption it will take breaking up a too- big -to -fail Court's control over all branches of government.
