Seattle minimun wage hike hasn't hurt restaurant business
Since 2013, when the new minimum wage laws were first introduced and
looked like an absolute certainty, the number of places to eat in
Seattle has increased:

It is really too early to assess the effects of Seattle's Minimum Wage program on the restaurant industry or any other employers of entry-level workers. The first step of the new law, which raised the minimum to $11.00 per hour, just went into effect on April 1st, not even two weeks ago. Step increases taking years will raise that to $15 for many firms. The ultimate economic effects, in a city enjoying such growth, is more likely to be a restructuring than either a collapse or a workers' paradise. James McCusker
