A man browsing for books in Cincinnati’s cavernous old main library.

Our library, when I was a kid, had stacks like those -- cast iron supports 4-5 stories high, and tens of thousands of books. It was a treasure. I'm sure the stacks have been replaced by now, just as the Cinci library was.

Not all change is progress. Too often it's just money in someone's undeserving pocket.
