NBC News -  landmark study of cancer in Black women has launched, aiming to be the largest research project of its kind ever conducted in the U.S. The American Cancer Society plans to enroll more than 100,000 participants ages 25 to 55 for the study, called VOICES of Black Women, and follow them over 30 years. Although Black women are less likely than white women to be diagnosed with cancer, they are more likely to die of it within five years, according to the National Cancer Institute.
