Online report of the Progressive Review. For 52 years, the news while there's still time to do something about it.
What? Many European countries don't disenfranchise. In Sweden parties have rallies in prisons. In Ireland prisoners vote by mail. The UK has become less democratic. When I was a student there (60's) I saw (TV) scenes of prisoners voting in booths in a prison yard. Typical of conservatives, many prisoners are disenfranchised, like the US. I suspect because prisoners, et alii, are more likely to vote democrat and labour. bc
