White House vs. Constitution

Ken Kuppenstein - Asked in a little-noticed Tuesday interview about what the government could do about foreign influence operations on social media like TikTok, White House counterterrorism czar Sebastian Gorka reply was shockingly frank:

“We have that knee-jerk: ‘Oh, First Amendment, don’t do anything’ — but there are things we have to do if there’s a threat to national security that actually comports with the U.S. Constitution.”

When the White House’s point man on counterterrorism calls First Amendment concerns “knee-jerk,” that’s a pretty good freedom of speech isn’t a top priority.
