Secret Service reports record number of threats

Republican Informer - The Secret Service says threat cases jumped about 40 percent this year to roughly 10,000, underscoring the most dangerous environment its protectees have ever faced.  A senior official called the threat environment the highest the agency has ever seen. Most threats now begin online, with lone actors and mental-health crises driving cases. Mental-health interventions tied to suspected threat-makers rose about tenfold versus 2025.
