ProPublica reports that 506 U.S. citizens have
been detained by ICE. That includes at least 100 people whose citizenship was
questioned (almost all people of color); 70 children and teens; 63 were
detained while recording; 36 were held for 24 hours without being able to
contact a lawyer or loved ones; and about a dozen citizens were deported,
mostly children. Fewer than half of the 300 Americans detained for allegedly
assaulting or obstructing agents were charged in federal court; many of their
cases were dropped or dismissed.
