Sam Smith - One
of the strange things about the political messages I read every day is that a
typical candidate is far more interested in getting me to give them money
than in describing the causes they support and their reasons why. It is as if politics has been reduced to
individual fund raising rather than broad reform and positive change.
Even candidates I plan to vote
for leave me wondering what they actually plan to do if they win. It’s as
though politics has just been turned into just advertising and makes me wonder whether
our past progress would have been possible with the present crowd of
candidates.
