Stolen paintings

1440 - Italian police recover $10M worth of paintings stolen in three-minute heist. The paintings by Renoir, Cézanne, and Matisse were stolen from a private museum north of Parma, Italy, in March. Authorities yesterday said the works were recovered during searches ordered by prosecutors, but provided no further details. They also released security footage from the heist (watch via X). Meanwhile, police in Brazil this week recovered eight Matisse illustrations stolen in December. (More, w/photos)
