Our national parks are 110 today

Democratic Conservation Alliance - Our national parks turn 110 today. On August 25th, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed the Organic Act into law, creating the National Park Service with a bold mission:

“To conserve the scenery, natural and historic objects, and wild life… and to provide for their enjoyment in such manner… as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations.”

And since then, our parks have been one of our country's greatest treasures. But today, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans — fueled by Big Oil, extremist beliefs, and corporate greed — are dismantling that promise piece by piece.

They’re slashing park funding, dismantling protections for endangered species, letting fossil fuel giants damage raze forests, and selling off public lands to the highest bidder.  We cannot let them destroy what generations before us fought to protect. Contribution
