asking Americans to accept paying higher gas prices as a patriotic trade-off as
the country continues its war against Iran, even as a majority of U.S. adults
want the conflict to end—and think the nation should have not gotten into it in
the first place, according to polling. National gas prices in the U.S. have
shot up since the start of the war, as disruptions in production and supply due
to the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz have caused oil prices to
skyrocket.
