Gas prices

Independence Journal-   U.S. gas prices have jumped to their highest levels in nearly four years as the Iran war drives crude oil above $100 a barrel.  Attacks, shipping threats, and closures near the Strait of Hormuz are squeezing global supply and pushing pump prices sharply higher.

AAA data show average U.S. gasoline prices up roughly a dollar a gallon since before the conflict, with many states now well over $4. Economists warn the surge will raise inflation and household costs, while analysts say the crisis exposes America’s ongoing energy vulnerability.
