The Hill  -   A new poll shows that about 6 in 10 Americans say they avoid news about President Trump. The Media Insight Project survey released Wednesday found that 31 percent of respondents often actively avoid news stories about Trump, and 32 percent say they sometimes avoid Trump news.  Eighteen percent of those polled say they rarely avoid news stories about the president, while 17 percent say they never skip news stories about Trump.

Newsweek - President Donald Trump’s approval rating among suburban voters has improved to its strongest level in six months, according to new polling from HarrisX, marking a rare bright spot for the White House as concerns over the Iran war and rising gas prices continue to weigh on public opinion.

The improvement highlights a stabilization among suburban voters—an important swing bloc that Trump narrowly lost in the 2024 election—at a pivotal point ahead of the 2026 midterms.
Many of the most competitive House races are based in suburban districts, where Trump’s standing can directly influence turnout and ticket-splitting.

A shift in sentiment against Trump from the suburbs could complicate Democratic efforts to turn the midterms into a clean referendum on the president. But political scientists have cautioned against over-interpreting the shift.

Washington Post - Fifty-six percent of Americans oppose Trump’s decision to tear down the White House’s East Wing to make way for his planned ballroom, funded by about $400 million in private donations, while 28 percent support the project. That is the same division found in an October poll. Reactions are split among partisan lines; about two-thirds of Republicans support the project, while 61 percent of independents and 87 percent of Democrats oppose it.
