I have, for example, five two column pages of passwords for the online pages I use. Earlier today I forgot my Kindle password and felt befuddled until I realized I had to go to Amazon to find it. My life is now full of dealing with tiny facts whose absence can turn into a lengthy disaster. And I thought progress was meant to make life easier.
True, some things do. For example, I have over 30 video shows I can pop up in seconds on my Ipad but at the same time I find myself forgetting stuff more than in earlier times. There's just too much of it.
I could go on but one thing technology has taught me is to think of it as a alternative rather than an advancement. Just add it to your list of life's problems and you will survive it just as well as you do with the rest of all those damn things.
