Tech tips

Sam Smith - In a major technolgical and money saving step forward, I've thrown out all my calendars and replaced them with two or three pages of upcoming events. Those that my wife will want to keep in mind I highlight with a yellow background, important deadlines with a red one and repeated  events - like birthdays - I highlight in blue.  After the repeated events are over I just copy them and paste them at the bottom of the schedule so that next year they'll come right up on time.  Here's a bit of what it looks like:

MAY 1            REPLACE SMOKE ALARM BATTERIES: 4 alarms using 3 9volt batteries

MAY 3            MEREDITH BD

JUN                KATHY CAR REGISTRATION JUN 30

JUN 14           POTLUCK SUPPER OUTSIDE MALLET BARN

JUN 15           JULIA BD

JUN 15           TAXES

Among the good things about this is I don't forget birthdays and I can find this info on my Ipad or Iphone when on the road. And it takes far less effort than searching for a calendar book.
