Newsbreak - Hundreds of Pizza Hut locations will be closing over the next few months, the pizza chain’s parent company announced Wednesday in an earnings call.
Yum Brands, which also owns KFC and Taco Bell, said it was looking at ways to improve performance at Pizza Hut, including “approximately 250 targeted closures of underperforming” locations in the first half of 2026, CFO Ranjith Roy said.
“Looking back at 2025, Pizza Hut saw a 1% same-store sales decline globally for the quarter of the year,” said Roy. Sales were growing in other parts of the world, like the Middle East, Latin America and Asia, he said.
