NBC News The South Carolina measles outbreak is growing at an astounding rate. More than 500 people are in a 21-day quarantine and about 200 are "actively infected." A spokesman for the South Carolina health department said that eight people including children have been hospitalized for complications from the disease since the outbreak began. The largest current outbreak in the U.S. has spread to at least three other states.
