A single ticket sold in Arkansas matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing, winning the second-largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever, lottery officials said. The jackpot run had stretched to a record 47 drawings, officials said. The winning ticket was sold at a Murphy USA gas station in Cabot, Ark., lottery officials told The Associated Press.
The global reindeer (caribou) population has plunged about 67% in three decades, falling from roughly 5.5 million to 1.88 million, according to NOAA's Arctic Report Card.
