Several airports face staffing issues

NBC News -  The Federal Aviation Administration was experiencing staffing issues or anticipating shortages at several U.S. airports. No air traffic controllers were expected at the tower at Hollywood Burbank Airport in the Los Angeles area, a source familiar with the situation said, and airports in Newark, New Jersey, and Denver also saw delays because of staffing issues.

Air traffic controllers were working without pay Monday because of the federal government shutdown. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said there has been an increase in sick calls since the shutdown began, but he said the increase was slight.
