Newsweek - [House] sellers are slashing prices at record rates to attract reluctant and cautious buyers, according to new data showing that the typical U.S. home that sold in August went for nearly 4 percent under its asking price. It was the steepest discount ever recorded by Redfin for that month since 2019.
