Robert Reich - Under Dr. Oz, Medicare is launching a pilot program that will use AI to determine whether patients would be covered for certain procedures.
Companies running the program will be paid a share of the savings from rejecting - claims.
Axios - More than 1,000 current and former federal health workers called for Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s resignation this morning. Their statement comes after Kennedy didn't respond to a letter from about 750 HHS staff that accused him of spreading misinformation and contributing to harassment against government employees they said culminated in the Aug. 8 attack on the CDC's Atlanta headquarters. Kennedy since then ousted CDC director Susan Monarez. Four senior leaders at the agency resigned in protest of his leadership.
"We warn the President, Congress, and the Public that Secretary Kennedy's actions are compromising the health of this nation, and we demand Secretary Kennedy's resignation," the health workers wrote.
