Pew - Nearly half of Americans (49%) oppose the GOP’s far-reaching budget and tax bill – officially titled the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” – while 29% support it and 21% are not sure. Many say the legislation would negatively impact the country (54%) and increase the budget deficit (51%).

Pew - The average number of kids that U.S. adults ages 20 to 39 expect to have has dropped from 2.3 in 2012 to 1.8 in 2023. About three-quarters of women (77%) and men (76%) in this age group say they have or plan to have at least one child, down from about nine-in-ten in 2012.
