Sales of U.S. existing homes fell 4.9% in January.

What's News - Sales of U.S. existing homes fell 4.9% in January. That brings them to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.08 million, the National Association of Realtors said. Home prices and mortgage rates, which curbed sales for most of 2024, stayed elevated last month. In 2024, home sales fell to the lowest level since 1995 for the second straight year.
