Elon Musk update

Anna Bower - NPR's analysis found that, of its verifiable work completed so far, DOGE has cut just $2 billion in spending — less than three hundredths of a percent of last fiscal year's federal spending

The Nation - Musk is still spending huge amounts of money. Not on yachts or spaceships but “to insert himself into the electoral processes of many countries.” As John Nichols reported this week, the tech entrepreneur’s latest target is here in the United States: the Wisconsin state Supreme Court, where a 4–3 progressive majority is at risk. So far, Musk has “bought a reported $1.5 million in advertising time on television stations across the state” in his push for a right-wing court that will overturn labor and abortion rights.

People - Elon Musk's former partner Grimes is pleading with him to speak with her about their child's "medical crisis."

In a series of since-deleted tweets widely circulated on Thursday, Feb. 20, the singer-songwriter, 36, initially implored Musk, 53, to "Plz respond about our child's medical crisis."

She continued, "I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention."

She did not elaborate on what the medical crisis was.

Musk and Grimes were first linked in May 2018. They dated off and on before calling it quits for good in 2022. The two share three children, X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus,  It's unclear which child she was referencing in her tweets to Musk. More
