Axios - President Biden's visit to the storm-ravaged states in the South this week was something rare: a public appearance by the president. Biden hasn't held public events on 43 of the 75 days since he dropped his re-election bid — a reflection of his unpopularity and the limitations of his age as he approaches his last three months in office.... Biden has only campaigned once alongside Vice President Harris, plus a few official events in Washington.
First Lady Jill Biden also has largely withdrawn from campaign events — and Harris' team hasn't pushed for her to do them, people familiar with the matter told Axios.
Since dropping out July 21, Biden has scheduled just two public appearances before 11 a.m., none before 10 a.m., and five after 5 p.m., according to an Axios analysis of Biden's schedules. More.
