Election

Daily Mail, UK -  One in four Americans fear a civil war could break out following the presidential election, a new poll has found. A YouGov poll of 1,266 registered voters has found that 84 per cent of citizens believe America is more divided today than ten years ago. Of the bipartisan voters surveyed for The Times newspaper in the UK, 27 per cent say they fear violence is 'very or somewhat likely' after ballots are cast for the next president in 11 days.

Washington Post  - At least 236 Republican candidates for Congress or top state offices have cast doubt on or spread misinformation about the 2024 election.

NPR -  With just two weeks until voting closes, a new poll suggests that the initial excitement young voters had for Vice President Harris may be starting to level out. When she first entered the campaign, Harris generated viral memes, attracted large crowds at rallies and saw a boost in the polls, especially among young Americans. However, a recent GenForward poll obtained exclusively by NPR indicates that while Harris is performing better with young Americans than President Biden did before he withdrew from the race, she has struggled to match the historically high support he received from voters under 30 during the 2020 election. This NPR graphic breaks down support for Harris and other candidates among young people by race and ethnicity.
