Independent UK - Nearly 40 nations - including Canada and the UK - have strict policies when it comes to allowing individuals with criminal records across their borders, and barring a special accommodation, Trump would be held to those same standards. It’s unclear if he would be allowed to visit if he wins the presidental election in November, but remains a felon.

Occupy Democrats - Donald Trump's former National Security Advisor John Bolton urges Republicans to abandon him as their presidential candidate now that's he's officially a convicted felon. ... "Well, I think it's gonna be a big mistake for the party, for the country to nominate Donald Trump," Bold said during an appearance on CNN. "Precisely because he may well win this election. I'm not going to vote for Biden either, but I think if there's any chance left to get somebody else to replace Trump, which is highly unlikely to be sure, this ought to signal it to people," Bolton continued. "We've never nominated a convicted felon before. and this is not a good time to start. I think people of conscience ought to be thinking about how to approach this," he said. "You've heard a lot of criticism of the case on this network the day the indictment came down, I said if Trump is elected it could be because of this case," he added. "But the fact is you had twelve jurors find him guilty and that is going to reverberate with a lot of Americans who are not part of the Trump base and it could endanger not only the country, if Trump gets elected, it could endanger other Republicans on the ballot in November," said Bolton.

Daily Beast - Donald Trump’s wife and youngest son, noticeably absent from the Manhattan courthouse where he was convicted Thursday, were likely holed up at Trump Tower when the verdict came down, the New York Post reported. Sources told Page Six that Barron and Melania Trump were at the tower shortly after the verdict was read, and while it was unclear when exactly they arrived, they were apparently trying to fly under the radar as they made their way home. Instead of strolling in through the front doors, one source said “Melania and Barron were smuggled in through the side entrance.” The mood was described as “gloomy and gloomier,” “like a funeral,” by two others who spoke to Page Six. “It’s definitely viewed as a downer at Mar-a-Lago,” one of them added. Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts related to falsified business records to cover up an affair that could have influenced the 2016 election. He awaits sentencing by Judge Juan Merchan in July.

Daily Beast - On Friday morning, Dmitry Kulikov, host of Solovyov Live, the self-described “most patriotic channel” in Russia, said on-air, “They wronged our Donald Trump!” Malek Dudakov, a political scientist who specializes in America, said that the hope for a miracle—meaning a hung jury—was extinguished. He said, with Russia’s affectionate middle name usage, “The miracle did not happen. Our Donald Fredovych was found guilty on all 34 counts.”

Axios - A Morning Consult poll out this morning — one of the first polls since Trump's conviction — finds 49% of independents and 15% of Republicans said Trump should end his campaign because of the conviction.54% of registered voters "strongly" or "somewhat" approve of the guilty verdict compared to 34% who "strongly or "somewhat" disapprove. Hartmann Report -  At a Reno, Nevada campaign rally in 2016, Donald Trump said of Hillary Clinton, “We could very well have a sitting president under felony indictment and ultimately a criminal trial. It would grind government to a halt.” He elaborated at a campaign rally in Concord, North Carolina, saying: “If she were to win, it would create an unprecedented Constitutional crisis that would cripple the operations of our government. She is likely to be under investigation for many years, and also it will probably end up — in my opinion — in a criminal trial. I mean, you take a look. Who knows? But it certainly looks that way.” He added that, because of the possibility she could become a felon, “She has no right to be running, you know that. No right!”
