Independent, UK - A potential juror who was excused from Donald Trump’s criminal trial has revealed he received death threats, despite not being involved in the case. Mark DeMuro told Good Morning Britain how Trump supporters had contacted him saying they were going to “teach him a lesson” if the former USPresident did not receive a fair trial. Speaking on Thursday (2 May), Mr DeMuro told the ITV
news programme about the content of the messages he received: “We know
who you are, we know where you are, we are going to come and teach you a
lesson.”
Mirror, UK - As the former president faces his hush money trial, he's consistently displaying behaviour "consistent with a diagnosis of dementia," according to a psychologist. Reporters inside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse have noted that on at least five out of the seven days Trump has appeared in court recently, he was seen dozing off at the defence table, nodding off every few minutes as his lawyers tried to rouse him. "He can't control it," Dr. John Gartner told TheMirror. He added: "To uncontrollably fall asleep during the day is something that's very common among patients with dementia." Dr Gartner, who spent 28 years as a part-time assistant professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University Medical School, said falling asleep in a courtroom is "so rare that it actually begs for an explanation."...
A defendant falling asleep in court is "literally so uncommon, it's basically unheard of." Gartner said he's spoken with several lawyer friends who each told him that they've never seen a defendant falling asleep in court during their entire careers... Gartner believes Trump is in a stage of dementia where he has lost control over his sleep-wake functions due to brain "deterioration". He stated: "Literally, if his life depended on it, which it kind of does, he can't control it."
Hartmann Report - TIME magazine reporter Eric Cortellessa spent hours interviewing Donald Trump, producing a shocking cover story this week. Converting one of his opening paragraphs into bullet points for readability, he summarized that Trump fully plans:
—
“To carry out a deportation operation
designed to remove more than 11 million people from the country, Trump told me,
he would be willing to build migrant detention camps and deploy the U.S.
military, both at the border and inland.
— “He would let red states monitor women’s pregnancies and prosecute
those who violate abortion bans.
— “He would, at his personal discretion, withhold funds appropriated by
Congress, according to top advisers.
— “He would be willing to fire a U.S. Attorney who doesn’t carry out
his order to prosecute someone, breaking with a tradition of independent law
enforcement that dates from America’s founding.
— “He is weighing pardons for every one of his supporters accused of
attacking the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, more than 800 of whom have pleaded
guilty or been convicted by a jury.
— “He might not come to the aid of an attacked ally in Europe or Asia
if he felt that country wasn’t paying enough for its own defense.
— “He would gut the U.S. civil service, deploy the National Guard to
American cities as he sees fit, close the White House pandemic-preparedness
office, and staff his Administration with acolytes who back his false assertion
that the 2020 election was stolen.”
