Washington Post - The first over-the-counter birth control pill in the U.S. will be available soon. Opill, approved by the FDA last summer. It’s 98% effective and will be sold online and in stores in the coming weeks, its maker said yesterday, with no age restrictions. Who it will help: Anyone with less access to health care, like poorer people in rural areas. The pill’s maker will provide a cost-assistance program for low-income uninsured people.
