The Great Salt Lake is drying out

Washington Post - An influx of hot, dry air over the Plains could lead to fast-moving wildfires. Severe thunderstorms could hit the Midwest, and snow will blanket the Mountain West. Dallas hit 93 degrees yesterday as temperatures surged at least 20 degrees above normal from Texas to Minnesota.

A new report found that botanical gardens are the most effective green spaces for cooling down city streets during heat waves.
