The Messenger - The National Weather Service said yesterday afternoon that “frigid Arctic air” would begin spreading southward across the country over the weekend and into next week, coming off the back of another winter storm. That Arctic air will lead to wind gusts as cold as -55F in parts of Montana and North Dakota, while a large area of the Midwest and central U.S. could see temperatures between -15F through -35F. In the Northeast, temperatures will also dip well below freezing, in the region of -10F to 5F, with similar conditions in Nevada and the Pacific Northwest. (Read More)
