Sam Smith - Since Donald Trump's political comments are so heavily affected by his mental state, it would be useful for psychotherapists, rather than just politicians and news media, to advise us on how to handle this unusual situation. What should we be saying to his supporters to get them to understand that we're dealing with mental illness here and not just politics?
I haven't been able to find any useful help on the web along these lines. If you have some useful thoughts and/or links, could you pass them along?

1) It is a mistake to refer to tRump's cult members as "supporters."
2) You can't have a rational dialogue with someone who is delusional.
Some would say we are witnessing delusions of granduer. More likely we see total delusion which will become thw subject of intense scrutiny by those who study mental illness.
