Sixty percent of children who have lost their health insurance reside in

A recent study conducted on the well-being, mental health, and perspectives of Gen Z Americans found that less than half are thriving. That's less than what millennials reported when they were Gen Z's age. Gallup and the Walton Family Foundation released a study in September 2023 that found that only 47% of Gen Z said they were thriving currently. When millennials were Gen Z's age, the study said about 60% of their generation was thriving.
NPR- Disability advocates are concerned a U.S. Census Bureau's proposal to change the disability questions on its annual American Community Survey, as well as how it reports the results, could skew the government's official disability statistics. The proposed revision would change yes-or-no questions about whether a person experiences difficulties with an ability to ask them to rate their level of disability. Only people who report “A lot of difficulty” or “Cannot do at all” would be included in disability estimates. Advocates say this might make it harder to provide access to housing and health care to disabled people, enforce legal protections and prepare communities for emergencies.
