Trump update

Donald Trump is on pace to win back the White House next year on the strength of his anti-inflation message. Which is a little odd, since the Republican candidate’s economic platform amounts to a plan for drastically increasing consumer prices. . .When you impose high tariffs on all goods from every exporter, your nation’s consumers will inevitably suffer higher prices. Americans consume many foreign-made specialty products that are currently much cheaper than any domestic alternative. Since U.S. buyers have nowhere else to go, specialty exporters subject to tariffs feel little need to lower prices in order to offset the value of the duties.ndeed, multiple studies of Trump’s tariffs on Chinese goods — including specialities such as silk embroidery — found that U.S. consumers paid roughly 100 percent of their costs.

Trump lawyers dismiss death threats as ‘irrelevant’ to federal gag order

A 15-year-old asked Nikki Haley if Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. She refused to answer and had her staff escort him away.

Former President Donald Trump had a constitutional right to make false statements about the 2020 election, his lawyers have claimed in court. In a written submission on Wednesday, they said that the federal election interference case against Trump is based on his alleged "lies" and that lies and false statements are protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution. The Trump filing relies heavily on a 2012 Supreme Court ruling in United States v. Alvarez that says Xavier Alvarez, an elected official, could not be prosecuted for his false claims that he was awarded a congressional medal for bravery. The Supreme Court said that he had a right to lie, including claiming to be a U.S. Marine who had fought for his country.

Trump counts on no one paying attention to the real issues. And many American voters do not pay attention nor understand what he is actually going to do.

Mr Gerritt's comment above should be in ULTRA BOLD TYPE FACE! As should the lies and falsehoods being fed to unquestioning voters. Better yet, maybe a RED LETTER display in print to highlight false, and misleading news.
