Stupid Trump stuff

Donald Trump has been insinuating for weeks that Barack Obama is secretly still in control of the White House, NBC News reports.  Said Trump: “It’s never been worse than it is now under crooked Joe Biden and, frankly, his boss, Barack Hussein Obama. I think it’s his boss.”

Since we know every time his jaw moves he is lying, why should we not think the same about this comment?

People seemed different when I was young. Thoughtful and maybe Practical. Today we might use fancy words like Pragmatic, though less often I fear.

Not that I was a witness to this entire ‘performance’, but it seems our Boy Scout leader Mr. Carre was a very straight-forward, thrifty and practical man. He smoked cigars down to a nub, and after extinguishing the fire (Safety first), he would pocket the cigar butt for further use. He would scrape off any signs of the previous burning, and enjoy the cigar remnant like chewing tobacco. And after drying, the same bit of tobacco would be enjoyed in his pipe.

This man was a person to be extolled. And this same pillar of frugality and verve told a story that is something we all might learn from. It might be true.

As the story goes, when Mr. Carre was first learning to drive, the roads were merely made of dirt. And when it rained, the roads became muddy and the old cars with narrow tires would burrow deeply and form furrows that remained after the mud would dry.

Mr. Carre commented about the inconvenience of these dried ruts in the road, and said you had to “pick your rut carefully, because you might be in it for a long time”.

I wouldn’t think Mr. Trump would have found Mr. Carre to be a role-model. Mr. Carre, in his crumpled clothing and slightly unkempt appearance would have no credence in ‘Trump-world’, not that there would have been any desire to that end.

But Mr. Trump might have learned something that could have helped.
