Maine mass shooting

A video of Card's X account, using the username @RobertC20041800, shows he was interested in right-wing figures. His "liked" tweets include content published by Donald Trump Jnr., Tucker Carlson and Dinesh D'Souza. He also liked tweets by former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan, according to the screenshots.

The shooting was the country’s 36th mass killing this year, according to a database maintained by The Associated Press and USA Today in partnership with Northeastern University. At least 188 people have died in those killings, which are defined as incidents in which four or more people have died within a 24-hour period, not including the killer – the same definition used by the FBI.

[Robert Card] suffered from mental health issues, including recently reporting “hearing voices,” and threatened to shoot up the military training base in Saco, sources said. Over the summer, he was committed to a mental health facility and released after a two-week stay, sources additionally said.

In the United States, only a very small percentage of men under 60 are military veterans. In the United States, at least 31% of male mass shooters under 60 (which is almost all mass shooters) are military veterans.

One bowler, who identified himself only as Brandon, said he heard about 10 shots, thinking the first was a balloon popping. “I had my back turned to the door. And as soon as I turned and saw it was not a balloon — he was holding a weapon — I just booked it,” he told The Associated Press. Brandon said he scrambled down the length of the alley, sliding into the pin area and climbing up to hide in the machinery. He was among a busload of survivors who were driven to a middle school in the neighboring city of Auburn to be reunited with family and friends.“I was putting on my bowling shoes when when it started. I’ve been barefoot for five hours,” he said. The bowling alley is home to traditional tenpin bowling as well as candlepin, a variant of bowling found in New England. It’s located about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) north of the Bates College campus, on the outskirts of downtown. The alley has a small bar and is popular for local bowling leagues and children’s parties.

So the mass killing headline is incorrect. It states this is the "36th this year" which is way off. According to GVA )Gun Violence Archive) we've had over 40 THIS MONTH. https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting?page=1

Anyone who voted for Trump should never be allowed anywhere near a gun other than a single shot hunting rifle. If they have to reload after each shot it will give everyone time to run. In addition any any time a Trump voter kills people Donald should be locked up for 6 months.

some while ago, we for a time where graced with studies that noticed the frequency of many mass killers being on anti-depressants, same with suicides.
