Colin McCarthy An intense marine heatwave has arrived along the Northern and Central California coast, with water temperatures up to 7°F above normal. A buoy near the Golden Gate reported a water temperature of 68°F today, 7°F above normal. If warm waters persist, there could be significant impacts on marine life and coastal ecosystems while also making for muggier conditions near the coast.
