Washington Post - The FBI resisted opening an investigation into Donald Trump’s Jan. 6 role.There were fears of appearing partisan and disagreement over how much evidence was needed to investigate the president’s actions, a Post investigation found.The delay meant that more than a year passed before prosecutors and the FBI began a formal investigation of Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
