Conversatio
The tombstone commemorates George Johnson, a victim of wrongful execution in 1882, in the state of Arizona.
During the year 1882, George Johnson found himself in a peculiar predicament. Believing he had lawfully acquired a horse, little did he know that the seller was actually a thief. Tragically, Johnson was accused of horse theft upon taking possession of the animal.
Despite his desperate pleas of innocence, he was unjustly sentenced to death by hanging. It was only after his demise that the truth emerged, confirming his claims.
Today, George Johnson rests in eternal peace at Foothill Cemetery in Tombstone, Arizona.
