This flu season is looking particularly bad.

There’s already an unusually large number of hospitalizations, the CDC reported Friday, and the season started six weeks earlier than usual.
Many Americans lack immunity after more than two years of life altered by the coronavirus pandemic.
Hospitals could be overwhelmed by cases of the flu, RSV — another virus that’s surging — and the coronavirus.
