How can the News merely make people sad. Are they unemotional, detached, or just burned out.
It may be lucky that the AP-NORC/API study did not look at my age group. We are ‘Happy’ to be given access to a variety of reliable information. We are angered by politicians that spout misinformation, and ‘news’ agencies that merely parrot such drivel. We were amused, shocked, embarrassed, and insulted by ‘the previous guy’. We are frustrated because so many things appear contrary to how things were meant to work. We are incensed (religious pun) that SCOTUS has become a puppet (to politics, religion, and/or financial pressures – the coin is still in the air). We are confused because of how the Gordon Gekko’s of this world have been able to invert traditional fascism into what now claims to be American Traditional Values. (I’m not intimating that ‘traditional fascism’ itself would be a better alternative). And we fear the future.
