Work on issues that are valued across ethnicity and across genders. People who work together learn to like each other.
Get learning civics, democracy, and cooperation into your school agenda if they’re not there right now.
While you have to fight racism, there’s too little talk of the advantages of multiculturalism. Tell stories of why you like it.

Help preserve the parks in your neighborhood instead of letting them get turned into parking lots. And in case you are wondering, this is what they are trying to do about 1/2 mies from my house. even though the land was given to the city for a park and state law says a city can not sell land given to it for conservation.
Change your town, or others may change it for you.
