In the late 60’s I heard about a book called Johnny Got His Gun, but heard that it was on a list of banned books. At that time I was in the military, but years later I did read that book, and it did make a lasting impact on me. But even that book would not have prevented me from being in the military in a time of need.

Also, in the late 60’s, there was a big change in societal norms regarding race, religion, politics, etc. it seemed to affect just about everything. And… the music was Great, from Motown to CCR.

Now, I (possibly, we) seem to be at a point where Yogi Berra’s statement about "It's like déjà vu all over again" may be a reality. As in the movie The Deer Hunter, I visualize ourselves being in a place similar to a point in that movie – that split second – between when we are at a wedding party and everything appears happy and wonderful… and when we wake up in Vietnam, half underwater, with enemies all around. And, as I walked out of that movie, I noticed that there was not a single person talking. It had an unbelievable impact on people.

Who are our ‘enemies’ now. And what will that impact be.
