Meanwhile. . .

A new  [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] climate change mitigation report confirms that population increase and economic growth are the main drivers of today’s historically high greenhouse gas emissions. But that scientific information has been censored and removed from the Summary for Policymakers distributed to the world’s press and the public. Does a problem disappear if we don’t mention it?

New US COVID-19 infections have risen by more than 40% over the past week to around 38,000 per day (see data), though that number remains well below the peak of the January omicron wave, which surpassed 800,000 new daily cases. Average COVID-19 deaths have fallen below 500 per day for the first time since August.

Governments are obsessed with economic growth and demand it(and feel that the public demands ) ever faster growth, but as infinite growth on a finite planet is impossible they are set up for failure,. Unfortunately life support on the planet is already failing so they are working towards a Red Queen economy running faster and faster only to fall further and further behind the eight ball.
