For the sake of a proper functioning Society, it is entirely understandable if people should be expected to endure some inconvenience regardless of their personal displeasure or discomfort. Unfortunately the combination of religious dogma, and government’s legislative and judicial authority are being used with a heavy hand.

Reading this article kinda reminded me what things were like in the 1960s and early 1970s. Of course, being male, I had a more theoretical interest in the issue, but for some reason I felt more empathy for an individual’s personal medical issue regardless of the cause, than for theocratic dogma. Also, being raised in an environment with limited funds made one sympathetic, if not empathetic, to another person’s plight.

Republicans seem to be the political right arm for religious demands at the moment. Of course, it is only my opinion but logic indicates that religious institutions favor those who support them financially. And, if history is to be repeated, rich families, even conservative christian families, will still get socially and legally banned goods and services, with little fear of recrimination.
