“Let’s set an age limit after which you can’t run for political office, perhaps a number just below 70…”?
You might think that an intelligent man like Elon might first think about more abstract things like ideology, religion, political ‘track-record’, etc. But then Elon is kind-of a Scientific kind-of-guy with all his Space Stuff and everything.
But if so, why did a guy like that be sooo… unspecific in his numerical requirement? Even he would have to admit that “a number just below 70” is very, Very vague. Should the requirement be 70 years old minus One Standard Deviation? Minus Two Standard Deviations? Or Geesch... Minus Three Standard Deviations? How can anyone allow this man to send rockets into outer space?
But this glaring lack of specificity may have been due to Musk’s emotional state. Weighed down by all his wealth, and plagued by its associated ‘guilt’, he lashed out in a moment of Affluenza induced Hate toward the (great unwashed - Bernie Sander’s) comment that the “extremely wealthy pay their fair share” and said: “I keep forgetting that you’re still alive.”
How Rude! But increasingly excusable Politically, Socially, and unfortunately, possibly Morally in our plutocratic “society”.
I might suggest a set of qualifying determinates for public office in the U.S.of A.: No Businessmen / Businesswomen No Movie or Television Actors / Actresses No Religious Zealots (specifics determined by an atheist) And, I only say this to cover ‘all-the-bases’, No Republicans.

Elon Musk appears a smart and fortunate man.
Lets examine Elon’s statement:
“Let’s set an age limit after which you can’t run for political office, perhaps a number just below 70…”?
