Nearly 1 in 3 U.S. Hospital Personnel Still Unvaccinated

The study appears to have no interest in if people have already had Covid and recovered. That seem an essential piece of info to have, to make any kind of valid study about this issue.

I wonder how many of these "unvaxxed" have had a previous infection of Covid from before vaccines became available. The immunity from natural infection is more robust and does not fade quickly like vaccine immunity does. Many healthcare workers got ill in the first wave, and now have better immunity that the vaccine gives, why do they need vaccines, because the Big Pharma Cartel demands it.

As long as we are giving ‘personal’ opinion, with no intent to give medical advise. I’ll weigh in.

People with SARS-Cov2 infection have variable immune responses. Immune response does depend upon infective dose, age of the individual, and "health" which would include pre-existing conditions, lifestyle habits, and a person's ability (genetics) to mount an immune response.

Historically, Coronavirus infections have been known to mount short-lived immune responses. One can get the ‘common cold’ in December, and again in February. Again, maybe not everybody.

As suggested by authorities, it may be advisable for previously SARS-Cov2 infected individuals to be vaccinated. This action has been shown to increase antibody levels even higher, and will also provide ‘regularity’ to what might be needed to keep one’s immunity against future infection. Vaccines should (hopefully) by made to protect against future Variants as needed.

I’ve heard of many stories: I’ve had Covid, and I’m fine. My mother was vaccinated and still got Covid. Even - god will protect you.

Who cares! These are not reasons to Not be Vaccinated. We have seen hospitals being overwhelmed. Too many people have died, and For What?

I wonder how many of these “unvaxxed” hospital workers are merely going about their daily work duties with as much care and devotion as someone working in a garment ‘sweat-shop’ in a foreign country, with no considered thought to Public Health and a wider-world outside their myopic existence. I wonder how many of these “unvaxxed” hospital workers are the same individuals that go outside for ‘smoke-breaks’ two or three times per work day. I wonder how many of these “unvaxxed” hospital workers somehow put a higher priority in deluded religious / political beliefs espoused by those more interested in self-aggrandizement.

From original AJIC journal: https://www.ajicjournal.org/article/S0196-6553(21)00673-8/fulltext

“Finally, the odds of an HCP being fully vaccinated were lower if the county of the hospital had lower (25th percentile) versus higher (75th percentile) community COVID-19 vaccination coverage (aOR 0.68; 95% CI: 0.64, 0.73).”

OK, to me this sounds like some healthcare providers (HCP) are more influenced by their ‘neighbors’ than reliable information and healthcare demands. Kinda dumb don’t you think.

Getting vaccinated is recommended!

But here’s the best part (from the above LINK).

“Additional efforts are needed to improve COVID-19 vaccine coverage among HCP, such as educational and promotional activities, communication efforts to address misinformation...”

Yup… “misinformation”. That’s a real polite way of saying that ignorant political, religious, or even just brain-dead self-righteous idiots may not be fully informed and yet quite willing to impose their emotion-elicited beliefs on everybody else through mindless dribble. Or, worse, they do know the truth and are just lying to help make them appear as ‘one-of-the-guys’ or ‘girls’. (And here, a Spit into a spittoon would clinch the deal and make me appear ready to burn a few books).

I think I might rather just Spit on the floor (In disgust).

Getting Vaccinated is recommended!

Must I remind everyone that as of today 771,044 people have died of Covid-19 in the U.S. alone. Some of whom caught the virus from a HCP.

But I suppose some people aren’t gonna believe that either.
