Instead of talking about "infrastructure" why aren't politicians talking about their own bridges?

Used to be that when a politician wanted to push a national bill, they would find some local examples to bring the story home. As perhaps another sign of where the money is coming from these days, pols are mainly talking about "infrastructure."

A reader sent us  this story about a bridge on the Hudson that's a good example of how more local examples might help the national effort for public works.
